Crankbaits and slip-sinkers are great walleye fishing lures to use during the summer months, after typical feeding patterns have been established and water and air temperatures are high. Before the summer season the summer peak occurs, when fish are at their most aggressive and some of the best fishing of the year can take place. Pre-summer, walleyes are shifting from their spawning areas to their summertime locations.
