Apple Canyon Lake Fishing Trip – Early May 2012

I headed out to Apple Canyon Lake to do some bass fishing.  This is a private lake in Northwest Illinois.  I bought a lot out here to make sure I have a place to film for the website and to start a guide service .  I have fished out here in the past, but only in a pontoon boat as a guest.  The bass boat gave me a lot more opportunities as I was able to catch so many bass that I lost count and I almost always keep count when I’m fishing. I ended up getting 4 new fishing videos done.  I made 2 videos to help promote the guide service and I did another 2 videos on how to catch spawning bass with live bait and drop shot rigs.  Check them out below.  If you live near the Chicagoland area, take a look at my new guide service on Apple Canyon Lake . ______________________________________________________________ Spring Time Bass Fishing w/ Live Bait on Apple Canyon Lake Spring Time Bass Fishing w/ Lures on Apple Canyon Lake ______________________________________________________________ Drop Shot Rig & Leech for Spawning Largemouth Bass Drop Shot Rig & Nightcrawler for Spawning Largemouth Bass

The spawned genius of cubicle life,  The Flybrary  is a new taxonomic and collaborative index of both fly imitations and naturals, intended “to document the evolution of fly design by individual tyers…,” states creator Tim Geist, “ famous, infamous or obscure.” Humans are “ fishing down the food web .” According to University of British Columbia researchers it has caused predatory and forage fish populations to become unbalanced. Are carp lips like calluses? Trevor Tanner over at Fly Carpin has a theory on stillwater vs. river carp  and Angelina Jolie.
